Candida Friendly Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Total Time: 5 minutes

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (unsweetened coconut milk works too)

  • 1 tbsp raw cacao powder

  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (raw vanilla bean powder works too)

  • 1 - 2 tsp monk fruit sweetener *

  • 1/2 tbsp cacao butter

Optional toppings:

  • 1 - 2 tsp shaved dairy free, sugar free chocolate (I highly recommend Giddy Yo)

  • 1 - 2 tbsp coconut whip from Cha's Organics

Instructions:

  1. Boil the water with a kettle.

  2. Then add all of the ingredients to a high speed blender.

  3. Blend for 1 - 2 minutes, or until the butter melts.

  4. Pour into mug of choice. Add toppings and enjoy!

Notes:

  • You can use stevia powder or liquid as a substitute for monk fruit sweetener.

  • Turn it into a peppermint mocha by adding 1 - 2 shots of organic espresso.
